Hair Guardian is for women who want to keep their hair while undergoing chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

Hair Guardian preserves your hair by protecting hair follicles from the damaging effects of chemotherapy by way of therapeutic cooling of the scalp during the chemotherapy session and for a brief time before and after the session. No other cooling times are required.

This app requires a Hair Guardian system from InControl Biomedical LLC at www.incontrolbiomedical.com and an iOS Bluetooth low energy iOS device.

It is a convenient, portable and affordable device managed by you, and can be used anywhere with little notice. With our product, one of the most distressing side effects of chemotherapy may be avoided.

Of the over one million people with new cancer diagnoses annually in the U.S. — approximately half will undergo chemotherapy for primary or adjunctive treatment. About 3/4 of chemotherapy regimens used will cause substantial or total hair loss.
